Because we just got back from a family vacation we were not in a traveling mood for our anniversary this year. Luckily we live in a city that has a lot to offer a couple who wants to have a getaway close to home.
We got tickets to Cirque Du Soleil for the night of our anniversary.
Then thanks to Jack and Sarene, who volunteered to be awesome grandparents and have a slumber party with the kids, we got to stay the night at my favorite hotel on Minneapolis. The Graves. I can't say enough about how much I love the interior design of this building. Aaron and I have eaten dinner here but never had the luxury of staying in a room... And what a room it was. A corner suite with amazing views of the city. Breathtaking!
Our bathroom was gorgeous and totally teched out. A flatscreen TV in front of the toilet and the coolest rain faucet head in the shower. Everything was backlit glass so it just "glowed" at night.
Lastly our anniversary wouldn't be complete with out a gay pride parade. (This event falls on our anniversary every year and follows us wherever we travel...) We just pretend that they are all there to celebrate us.
