Today is Micah's 2nd Birthday and to celebrate we had a family party for him last night. We did a race car theme because after all he is "a car guy". (The Tee shirt Micah is wearing was a gift from my friend Gina last year for his 1 yr. birthday...) It was perfect for this occasion. I made a race car cake for him all the while being coached by my husband on correct race track form and design... lets just say I did a simplified version!
He had a huge grin on his face while we all sang happy birthday, and then was very excited to blow out the "fire."
Our family is very in tune with Micah's love of anything that moves, be it planes, trains, automobiles... and boats! Amongst the gifts was his first hard covered car from his great aunt and uncle shirley and Lou. It was a 3 generational project as Aaron and his dad started immediately on the assembly of his car. Micah tried to help by hammering at the wheels but most of his time was spent inside the car as the building project went on all around him.
Luckily I had bought him a racing helmet to serve as his birthday hat, But now it has a more practical purpose!
